當(dāng)前，全體蘇大人正以昂揚(yáng)的姿態(tài)、開放的胸襟、全球的視野，努力將學(xué)校建設(shè)成為國內(nèi)一流、國際知名高水平研究型大學(xué)?，F(xiàn)舉辦2020年國際青年學(xué)者東吳論壇，竭誠歡迎海內(nèi)外英才參加。 

一、論壇簡介 

蘇州大學(xué)2020年國際青年學(xué)者東吳論壇擬定于5月15日以后舉辦，具體時間將根據(jù)疫情防控進(jìn)展情況適時通知。本次論壇旨在集聚海內(nèi)外不同學(xué)術(shù)背景的優(yōu)秀青年學(xué)者，就國際前沿科技及研究熱點(diǎn)展開探討，促進(jìn)國際青年學(xué)者之間的交流與合作，攜手探索科學(xué)前沿，共攀學(xué)術(shù)高峰。 

二、邀請對象 

1、年齡一般應(yīng)在40周歲以下（1980年1月1日以后出生）。 

2、國內(nèi)受邀者應(yīng)具備下列條件之一： “國家優(yōu)秀青年科學(xué)基金”獲得者等國家“四青”人才；或達(dá)到相應(yīng)水平的優(yōu)秀人才。 

3、海外受邀者應(yīng)具備下列條件：具有海外知名大學(xué)博士學(xué)位；或者具有國內(nèi)博士學(xué)位，并有2年以上連續(xù)海外科研工作經(jīng)歷。 

三、人才待遇 

學(xué)校對于國家“四青”人才或達(dá)到相應(yīng)水平的優(yōu)秀人才提供協(xié)議年薪、安家補(bǔ)貼、學(xué)術(shù)啟動經(jīng)費(fèi)，以及必要的辦公條件和場所。有關(guān)待遇如下： 

（一）崗位及待遇 

1、崗位：特聘教授、博士生導(dǎo)師。 

2、薪酬：35-60萬元+論文、項(xiàng)目獎勵，上不封頂。 

3、安家補(bǔ)貼：200-475萬（含地方政府配套補(bǔ)貼）。提供全裝修的過渡性人才公寓，拎包入住。 

4、學(xué)術(shù)啟動經(jīng)費(fèi)：人文社會科學(xué)50萬，非實(shí)驗(yàn)理科60-80萬元，實(shí)驗(yàn)理、工、醫(yī)科80-200萬元。可根據(jù)需要另行提供大型儀器設(shè)備費(fèi)。 

（二）支持措施 

1、優(yōu)先推薦申報江蘇省“雙創(chuàng)計劃”，對入選的雙創(chuàng)人才，三年內(nèi)省級財政給予總共300萬元、100萬元或50萬元的創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)資金資助；對入選的雙創(chuàng)團(tuán)隊，三年內(nèi)省級財政給予總共300-800萬元的人才經(jīng)費(fèi)資助。 

2、優(yōu)先推薦申報“江蘇特聘教授”，如入選，聘期三年內(nèi)，省級財政給予每人每年12萬元的崗位津貼，對自然科學(xué)類、人文社會科學(xué)類分別提供100萬元（特別優(yōu)秀的提供200萬元）、50萬元的科研經(jīng)費(fèi)。 

3、優(yōu)先推薦申報蘇州市“姑蘇創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)領(lǐng)軍人才”，蘇州市“引才補(bǔ)貼”、“樂居工程”、“優(yōu)秀人才貢獻(xiàn)獎勵”，蘇州工業(yè)園區(qū)“金雞湖人才計劃”等人才項(xiàng)目。 

4、其他：充足的辦公實(shí)驗(yàn)室用房，支持組建科研團(tuán)隊，博、碩士招生指標(biāo)予以政策性傾斜，協(xié)助解決配偶工作及子女入學(xué)，提供附屬醫(yī)院便捷就醫(yī)條件。

六、交通食宿 

受邀學(xué)者收到正式邀請函后自訂機(jī)票或車票，我校按經(jīng)濟(jì)艙的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)予以實(shí)報實(shí)銷往返機(jī)票（報銷的最高限額如下：歐美等地1.5萬元/人，亞洲國家1萬元/人、國內(nèi)（含港澳臺）0.6萬元/人），論壇期間食宿由學(xué)校統(tǒng)一安排。

Postponement Announcement on the 2020 Soochow University Forum for International Young Scholars 

Dear young scholars, 

In response to the requirements by the Chinese government on the prevention and control of the coronavirus epidemic, 2020 Soochow University Forum for International Youth Scholars, scheduled for from April 9 to 11, 2020, will be postponed to after May 15, 2020 after discussions, in order to effectively protect the safety and health of the young scholars and to firmly safeguard the overall situation of social stability. The new date will be informed according to the progress of epidemic prevention and control, and sufficient preparation time will be reserved for you.

Invitation to 2020 Soochow University Forum for International Young Scholars 

Located in the historic and cultural city of Suzhou and founded in 1900, Soochow University is a Key National “Project 211” university, and one of the first institutions selected for “Plan 2011” in China. It is listed into “Double First-Class” Initiative jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government. It is also a provincial key comprehensive university sponsored by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government. In 2019, it was ranked 51th globally and 13th domestically in the Nature Index, and the 15th domestically in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking. It is ranked the 18th domestically in the 2020 THE University Ranking. Eighteen scholars of Soochow University were listed into “Highly Cited Researchers” by Clarivate Analytics; the number was ranked the 5th in China. Currently, thirteen of its disciplines -- Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Clinical Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy and Toxicology, Biology and Biological Chemistry, Neurology and Behavioral Science, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Immunology, Mathematics, Computer Sciences and Agricultural Sciences -- are ranked the top 1% of the Thomson Reuters Essential Science Indicators (ESI) ranking. Chemistry and Materials Science are ranked the top 1‰. 

Nowadays, with an active spirit, an open mind and an international horizon, all the faculty of Soochow University are sparing no effort in building up a world-renowned research-oriented university. We hereby invite international scholars to the 2020 Soochow University Forum for International Young Scholars. 

I. About the Forum 

The 2020 Forum will commence after May 15th; the new date will be informed according to the progress of the epidemic prevention and control. It aims to gather outstanding young international scholars from different academic backgrounds to promote their collaboration, their joint exploration of the frontiers of science, and their progress toward greater academic achievements. 

II. Participant Requirements 

1. Under the age of 40 (born after January 1, 1980); 

2. For scholars from China: selected for “Four Youth Talent Plans”, e.g. awarded by the “Outstanding Youth of National Science Foundation”, or recipient of similar levels of recognition for young scholars; 

3. For overseas scholars: holder of a doctorate degree from a prestigious overseas university, or holder of a doctorate degree from a Chinese university, plus at least 2 years of consecutive scientific research experience overseas. 

III. Pay and Benefits 

Soochow University provides the following pay and benefits for excellent scholars who are selected for “Four Youth Talent Plans” or of similar levels of recognition: 

A. Title and Pay 

1. Title: Distinguished Professor and doctoral supervisor; 

2. Pay: RMB 350,000-600,000 annually, plus cash reward for papers and projects without cap; 

3. Relocation: RMB 2,000,000-4,750,000 (this includes subsidiaries provided by the local government); fully decorated short-term accommodation. 

4. Research Support Funding: RMB 500,000 for scholars in the Humanities and Social Sciences, RMB 600,000-800,000 for scholars in Non-experimental Sciences, RMB 800,000-2,000,000 for those in Experimental Sciences, Engineering and Medicine. Large-scale equipment and apparatus may be provided as needed; 

B. Benefits 

1. Priority recommendations for applying “Innovation and Entrepreneurship program”. Successful individual applicants will be funded with RMB 3,000,000, 1,000,000 or 500,000 within 3 years. Successful group applicants will be funded with RMB 3,000,000-8,000,000. 

2. Priority recommendations for applying “Distinguished Professor of Jiangsu Province”. Successful candidates will be awarded RMB 120,000 / year, and a research fund of RMB 1,000,000 (RMB 2,000,000 for excellent ones) and 500,000 for natural sciences and liberal arts respectively. 

3. Priority recommendations for applying various talent programs in Suzhou, e.g. “Leading Talents of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Gusu District”, “Talent Subsidy”, “Easier Settling Project”, “Reward for Contribution of Outstanding Talents” and SIP’s “Jinji Lake Talent Plan”. 

4. Other benefits include: spatial offices and labs, support for establishing research groups, priority for recruiting students, job and school recommendations for spouse and offspring and convenient medical care.

VI. Travel and Accommodation 

Invited scholars will be reimbursed for their actual round-trip economy class airfare, up to a maximum of RMB 15,000 per person from Europe and America, RMB 10,000 per person from Asia, and RMB 6,000 per person from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and mainland China. Soochow University will provide accommodation during the Forum.
